DreamHack partners with Swedish gamification provider Insert Coin to increase engagement among millions of esports fans
--
DreamHack, an ESL FACEIT Group brand, is the world’s leading gaming lifestyle experience. DreamHack festivals boasted a total of 345,000 attendees in 2019, and are now set to make a comeback with live events, starting with DreamHack Dallas in June.
Insert Coin is the leading Scandinavian provider of gamification tech and expertise, with more than 13 million users already on their platform and clients such as the leading sports fan app Socios, the European bank Raiffeisen, and Hiber — creator of the virtual-worlds platform HiberWorld.
“It’s incredibly exciting, especially for us with a passion for gaming and esports, to partner with a global player like DreamHack,” says Carl Bjerkne, CEO of Insert Coin. Insert Coin has now entered into a partnership to provide gamification tech for the gaming community & esports giant DreamHack, whose festivals and competitions attract millions of fans each year.
The partnership between DreamHack and Insert Coin is part of DreamHack’s digital strategy and the omnichannel initiative called DreamHack Beyond. DreamHack Beyond will allow fans to collect points, earn rewards, and engage in activities within different and already existing gaming communities as well as compete for prizes. The initiative aims to continue supporting the gaming community as a whole and encourage more gamers to visit DreamHack festivals as well as keep its audience engaged both before, during, and after the events.
“We have been looking forward to strengthening the way we engage with our audience in a more long term and innovative way”, says Shahin Zarrabi, VP of Strategy and Growth at DreamHack. “We want to build an even stronger relationship with our audience, get to know them more, and understand their motivation of coming back again and again. We will challenge ourselves and work in new ways to reward our community and encourage new friends and visitors to stay with us for a long time.”
“With the help of Insert Coin, who are experts within data-driven engagement and gamification tech, we’ll have everything we need in place without having to spend time and money developing our own systems — which lets us focus on what we do best; creating great experiences for the gaming community,” said Shahin Zarrabi, VP of Strategy and Growth at DreamHack.
The first part of the project will be launched on May 27 — Jun 2, ahead of 2022’s first live DreamHack festival in Dallas.
